Frequently Asked Questions1. Why can't my name be on my manuscript? This rule is designed to insure that the reader/story analyst rates the manuscript solely on its merit, without reference to the writer's name, or where the writer is from.2. Is it possible for me to lose my rights over my work because of this contest? No. Every manuscript is numbered upon receipt with a unique ID number. This number is copied onto your Contest Application. After the winners are picked, the numbers of the entries are matched up with the application form.3. Am I giving up my copyright or other rights by entering the contest? No. You retain all rights in your manuscript. If you win the contest you will be offered a publishing contract, which will provide for royalties.4. Can I enter the contest even if I'm not American?Yes, as long as your manuscript is your original work, is not a translation from another language, and is written in English.5. Why is there an entrance fee? There is a small entrance fee to cover the expense of reading all those books!6. How are manuscripts judged? Each manuscript will be read by a judge, and rated according to structure, character, and writing quality. Those manuscripts judged highest will be read by Llumina editors, the decisions of whom are final.7. What if I win and then decide I don't want to publish with Llumina? It's entirely up to you whether you publish through Llumina or not.Additional questions or requests for information may be sent by E-mail to Llumina Press.
